Yeah....good luck with avoiding the dentist. Sooner or later you will go, believe me. It is much better to catch a cavity before you start getting any pain from it. Once you start getting pain, that is an early warning system that you should do something about it quickly, or you may end up needing a root canal or an extraction.

you can buy stuff to stop the pain from the store like anbusol but it isn't going to solve your problem. you need to see a dentist before it turns into something much worse and a lot more expensive than just having a filling. you can end up needing a root canal or having to get your tooth pulled. go find out what's wrong and get it fixed right.

chew on a tylenol, put it right in the spot that hurts and chew it. Or go to er late at night and tell them the pain is unbearing, they will give you stronger pain killers, that's what they did for me Also it can get worse and turn into a abscess, then you would really have to get it pulled

I heard honey kills any bacteria. Cloves numb your tooth. Buy yourself some of that temporary filling, just to fill your cavity so no food gets stuck in it. U dont want it to get infected.

Go to the dentist. In extreme cases you can get an infection that moves to your brain and can kill you.

Well I think sooner or later you will have to go to the dentist. But, if you use a toothpaste for sensitive teeth it helps. My dentist tells me to take 4 ibuprofen. There are things in the store you can buy, clove oil, oragel,pain-a-lay,Chloroseptic spray for sore throats but will work on a toothache.

Clove oil/paste worked wonders on my dry socket! The dentist treated it with clove paste. It tastes nasty (at least to me) but worked like a charm!

I'm so sorry, but unfortunately, it can't be avoided. Here's how it works: You get a cavity, it starts to hurt. To fill it and fix it = $0-150 (depending on insurance) You put it off, cavity gets deeper (can take 3-6 months,) you now need a crown = $1000 You further put it off (again, 3-6 months), you now need root canal and crown = $1000 for EACH You love pain and keep putting it off (could be any day after the root canal is needed) now you need extraction = $100's, but now you have a hole in your mouth and all your teeth start shifting and tilting. Not trying to scare you, but truly there is no way to home remedy a cavity. You can only dull the pain a little temporarily. Your best bet is to get it fixed ASAP to avoid worse pain and more money. Sorry, and Good Luck!
