Dark coloration on white sheetrock ceiling. Can I clean and use kiltz?
Checked attic, No appearance of wet or discolored sheetrock from there. Used a little chlorox and it removed some of the dark coloration. Color does not extend into sheetrock, only on interior surface adjacent to old skylight opening. Skylight opening was directly over return for AC/heat return...could this have been the cause?

I would say maybe. It could have just been condensation at one point. The kilz should definitely cover it, and you can paint over that. Have you ever used kiltz before? I think it's great and I swear by the stuff! Good luck with your project!

Sounds like it was wet at one time. I would try the kiltz and see what happens.
