| Is there any way I can get the smell of drywall compound to diminish? We are redoing a few rooms in our new house. We moved in about 6 months ago and decided to wait because we watned to do it all together along with the nursery for our baby due in January. We used drywall compound but its the spray for texture and it smells SO strong, stronger than regular compound, paint, etc all together! Also its freezing cold out so its hard to ventilate even though we have windows open. Is there any other way to get this to diminish? I can smell it in every room of our house, we have a smaller house by the way. Any ideas? Thank you. PS it wouldn't bother me so much but I am pregnant and don't want to risk inhaling it all night long. The texture is a bit stronger, but it is not really that bad, it's your pregnancy that's causing the exaggeration. If you've got some Vick's chest rub around, put a bit on your upper lip...you could also boil some orange rinds, lemon rinds, cinnamon, etc.. Good luck...
